Privacy Practices (Justification for Permissions)

When submitting your extension, you will need to justify the following permissions:

1. Scripting (scripting):

   • Justification: Required to inject the data extraction script and the user interface (the floating control panel) into the X/Twitter web pages.

2. ActiveTab (activeTab):

   • Justification: Used to detect when the user clicks the extension icon on an X.com tab to toggle the interface.

3. Storage (storage):

   • Justification: Required to store user settings (theme, language preference) and cache the exported data locally before downloading.

4. Host Permissions (*://twitter.com/*, *://x.com/*):

   • Justification: The extension's core functionality is to export data specifically from these websites. It needs access to read the page content to extract tweets and user info.

Testing Instructions (For Store Reviewers)

1. Install & Login: Install the extension and log in to your X (Twitter) account at https://x.com.
2. Open Extension: Click the extension icon in the toolbar. If you are on x.com, a floating control panel should appear on the right side of the page.
3. Navigate: Go to a user profile (e.g., https://x.com/elonmusk) or your Followers page.
4. Capture Data: Scroll down the page. You will see the counter in the extension panel increase as it captures tweets/users.
5. Export (Free): Click the "Export" button. Select "CSV". Verify that you can download a file containing up to 100 items.
6. Upgrade Flow: Click the "Upgrade" button in the panel. Verify that it opens the secure payment page (ExtPay).
